About Our Therapist
Claire LeMay
There are times in our life when we feel alone and don't have people in our world who understand the pain and suffering we are experiencing. Therapy can be a gateway to healing and connection when we feel lost in the world.
Claire believes that therapy should involve discovering and understanding the areas of your life that are impacting your mental health, and building skills to manage your day to day life. Claire blends therapeutic modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support you in building a life worth living. We all face times in our lives when we question where we are and where we are going. Claire believes that you can find your way forward by examining the past and using your current resources to develop a new way forward.
Claire has worked in a variety of outpatient substance use treatment settings and understands the struggle of recovery. Claire has extensive understanding of how mental health impacts substance use, and how substance use complicates mental health conditions. Her specialty is developing a unique strategy to address both, that uses traditional and alternative recovery techniques.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a method that balances change and acceptance. DBT is a skills based modality that focuses on four specific areas: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Skills.
